Actually, I’d move to be by the sea - somewhere that feels remote like Whitehaven in Cumbria

Beverley or Driffield in east yorkshire are beautiful with the advantage of being 20 mins ish away from the coast and a short drive to york and hull.

St Annes has some lovely areas and close to the sea, smaller village type Clifton/Newton/Weeton but all close enough to large towns that you can't feel completely isolated.

Yeah Lancashire has several plus points lol

Good luck in your search

There are so many lovely areas it depends on budget and how north.

Cotswolds. Derbyshire. Peak District

Or if your on a tighter budget choose a ex mining village as you tend to get a lot for a small budget

Second Shropshire. My MIL lived near Oswestry till recently and it’s a lovely area and not very expensive!

I’d move to Llandudno or Conwy tomorrow if I could...

Don’t leave us, Flirty...

York

"Beverley or Driffield in east yorkshire are beautiful with the advantage of being 20 mins ish away from the coast and a short drive to york and hull."

I grew up around Driffield and went to school there, there isn't a lot there but it's a quiet enough place. Don't move up Star Hill or Northfield though, bit rough. Jobs wise there isn't a lot either, hence why I moved to York
