How you write the date.

Hey guys just thought I'd share this little nugget...

Today I was told to be careful how I write the date as it would be very easy to alter on important documents, up until now it had never crossed my mind,

I wrote 19-2-20

Which could be easily altered to 19-2-2019 or 19-2-2018 etc,

I urge you all to write the date like thus 19-2-2020 on any important paperwork therefore safeguarding yourself from any tampering or fraud

Apparently depending on which documents you are signing and dating, yes. It was a solicitor that told me or rather gave me a long winded lecture about it.

On important documents I always write the date in full and not a series of numbers ie today would be 19th February 2020

This was initially put forward by a cop in the US advising people to write it on cheques and bank drafts etc

It’s a good idea to fight against the fraudsters

I suppose it could, I write my zeros with a strike through though to differentiate them from my o's.

I’d write it as 19/2/20

I say “Two thousand and twenty” opposed to “Twenty Twenty”.
