"First off not all vegans are annoying .. Now that i have that out of the way. Im talking about the ones that add it in to conversation where it don't belong. Like hi im "insert name here" im a vegan..... Why is that needed? Like im here for an oil change i dont care about your diet. Or the ones that want to harass you when you're buying meat at the supermarket. Best argument i ever had was... Only animals should eat other animals... I looked at the person with a vacant stare and told person to say it again. .. So the person said it again. Then i asked... Are humans animals. Person responded yes. So i responded with.. This debate is over. Person was at a loss for words. Eat what you want but dont try to force your views on others" Absolutely love this.. There is a "vegan movement", which is like the new BLM, or 3rd wave feminist movement. All just for people to get their social justice fix, and then the ones who spout out the damage its causing (global warming). I eat a lot of game, hunted, trapped or caught by myself and then butchered/dressed, so the factory farming angle vegans have took on, me doesn't work. I don't like the way our meat is mass produced, so can kind of see their point. I just don't like the way the whole vegan agenda is rammed down my throat like an 18" roll of tofu.

" When have you actually had someone ever introduce themselves ‘hi I’m xxx and I’m a vegan’ don’t make up a story to save face. It’s amazing the only people that have these interactions are the ones that are so vocal about vegans " It's weird isn't it, I have no problem with vegans and I've never had anyone declare it to me. Further more the vegans I know really arent all that judgemental.

"Personally I'm becoming increasingly more annoyed by meat eaters who don't shut up about veganism than I ever have been by a vegan. " It is rather comical actually. I'm extremely omnivorous, so yeah I still eat meat and animal based products now and again. But the annoying role is certainly being reversed. Most vegans no longer announce it, other than to check a menu is suitable for them which is perfectly reasonable. The "carnivore" on the other hand will likely be the one trying to be funny by taking the piss out of vegans, but looking like a prick all the same.

" When have you actually had someone ever introduce themselves ‘hi I’m xxx and I’m a vegan’ don’t make up a story to save face. Apparently the title of this post wasn't read properly. ANNOYING... Not ALL just the annoying nit picky ones that seem to think they're right. Now I'm not saying I am right.. But I'm not wrong either.. Just different. I guess its more like the sjw vegans... If that makes sense. And to the person that said he cant finish a vegan whole.. Im sorry for your luck. I enjoy eating vegetables... Its just finding a place to get rid of the wheelchair that is an issue. So i guess we have our own problems. Also i understand the thing about animal well being. Conditions at factory farms are terrible. But im still going to eat meat. But i do have a question. What would happen to the animals if everybody quit eating meat? What would happen to natural habitats for wild animals? Would they be flattened into farmland to feed the human masses? Would the animals over populate and cause some sort of major ecosystem catastrophe? And as far as me "forcing" my views on people for their lifestyle choices via this post.. No. Never once did i say all vegans are bad Every body needs to eat meat or else... Nor do I think that way. I just dont like being called evil or vile for eating meat.. And as far as i am concerned thats being made to feel bad for my lifestyle choices. Which is bad. It would be the same as trying to kink shame body shame... Whatever shame someone into thinking the way you think. Not cool at all

"The Annoying Vegan trope is such a cliche. Yes some people do it, but some point, to a similar extent, do the same about so so many other things to. It's just boring to bring up, hack comedian material." For every annoying vegan I've come across, I've come across at least 100 insecure cranky intolerant omnivores.

"I used to work in a steak house and vegans/vegetarians would moan with disgust at the lack of options for them. I mean really...fuck off!" And yet so many other people do the same when something they would like is not on the menu. Whining and moaning is certainly not limited to veganism. Hell, the amount of whining and moaning from some people who eat meat (yes I eat meat) over the addition of vegan options on a menu was earth shaking. One little "sausage" roll and "steak" bake that was added as vegan friendly upset a lot of people when it had zero impact on them.

"My old Head chef told me humerous annecdote about his once Head Chef when he was a Chef de Partie. More than likely is just a joke and not real but either way. Head Chhef goes for meal in a new vegen restaurant maybe in the late 90's. Waiter comes over to take the order. Chef asks why there is no Steak on the menu. Waiter says well this is a Vegan restaraunt there is no steak on the menu. So Chef says 'Well stop coming into my restaraunt and asking me to cook you a bespoke meal because you are a fucking vegetarian' Then proceeds to leave." This is actually a good point. I mostly stick to a vegetarian diet because meat gives me indigestion, but I do eat a good steak on occasion. I've been into many restaurants and those that sell meat dishes always seem to have token vegetarian and vegan dishes on offer. The vegan/vegetarian restaurants never have meat dishes on the menu.

"Those following a vegan diet may want to be extra careful to ensure they are consuming enough iron, zinc, vitamin D, calcium, and omega-3 fatty acids. Vegans are also at a high risk of developing a Vitamin-B12 deficiency that, if untreated, can potentially cause neurological effects that are irreversible. Vegans will undoubtedly say that they aren't deficient in anything. Yes you are.. A personality!" And every meat eater is the epitome of health

"Vegans will undoubtedly say that they aren't deficient in anything. Yes you are.. A personality!" I went vegan four months ago. I did my research beforehand. With a balanced diet, you’re fine. Any vegans I know are very careful on their diet. Do you carefully manage your diet to ensure it’s balanced? My reasons were for animal welfare, my health, and the environment. While I believe the planet would benefit from people switching to a plant based diet, I don’t force my views on others. I will share them when appropriate. There is a lot of ignorance and misunderstanding around veganism. Research it fully before passing judgement.

Thats why all the big chains have been adding more and more vegan, gluten free ect items to menu. They dont actualy care, they just want your money and its good optics. When I worked in new product development for a dessert company a couple of years ago the big push was to get low sugar, gluten free and vegan products out to places like Costa, Green King or pizza Express so they could take advantage of the trend. We worked a couple of years ahead of actual trends in the marketplace with flavours and stuff like that. Hibiscus and over floral flavours for example are in at the moment, we were working on products with those flavour profiles over two years ago. A personality!" I'm not deficient in any vitamins, minerals, or in the personality department. You however, could use a little help there.

It's amazing how people following the mainstream are so willing to assume that those who aren't lack individuality.

"Vegans will undoubtedly say that they aren't deficient in anything. Yes you are.. A personality! I went vegan four months ago. Research it fully before passing judgement." Your profile is a thing of beauty. It was so lovely to read

" Off the top of my head- Nut roasts, beans, lentils etc. -lentils i've noticed thicken up anything in your cooking, make it quite filling. If you still crave meat, try things like the "tofurky" roast that you can get from places like holland & barrett, tis actually really nice. Vegan sausages are really too. when i was in australia, you could get things like "vegan" prawns from asian supermarkets if you like making oriental food. prob available here too. Use "liquid smoke"in your cooking, again this satisfies the meat cravings if you have them, and provides that smoky fish/bacon type flavour.

Im not offended by it at all lol, just found it amusing. Its like saying vegan venison or something. The reality is that its an imitaion of prawn flavour in lumps of starch. Guess Prawn flavoured starch lumps wouldnt sound so appetising. Faux leather is objectively worse though environmentally speaking

Eat what you want but dont try to force your views on others" I question the veracity of these stories

"I've never read a thread here about vegans slamming meat eaters.... started by a vegan I mean.... " I haven't in my short time of using the forums either. But it definetly is a thing on the wider internet and social media Look at the abuse some hunters get for example, yet these people have no clue on how hunting is used for conservation and population control. That would be quite happy for hunting of Deer to stop for example, which would just lead to over population and starvation of huge amounts of deer and has a knock on effect on other animals in that eco system

Plus there is a very easy way not to be called out online for being the arsehole that thinks shooting a lion is an okay thing to do isnt there?

"Are vegans taking over the world? Where has the sudden surge come from ? " A rise in eco concerns and animal welfare! But i do agree that production of meat and dairy needs seriously looked at.
