Has anyone ever tried one of these ?

Not sure how common it is in the UK but seems more wide spread in the USA

About to have 8 heavy nights of partying, drinking & swinging and i tend to struggle after 3 nights of heavy booze so I’ve seen this service offered at my hotel by a registered doctor

There’s one hangover cure that works well - drink less

If it was on offer I would take it. I get horrendous hang overs on Gin but I bloody love the stuff.

I tend to see the IV services on Instagram a lot giving out freebies to “influencers”

At the point you need an IV drip due to alcohol you'd already be dead.

Of course if you want some really quite pathetic and complete bulkshit way of demonstrating to the world just what a bad ass you are when it comes to partying this could be perfect though

Glass of water tends to do the same thing ...

8 in a row? I'd probably just not drink on a few of the nights rather than get myself an IV off the internet!

Why would I be demonstrating to the world ? I simply want a way of sorting myself out to allow me to keep enjoying a hedonistic holiday to the max. And I was interested in testimonials from people who have experienced it to advice how effective it is

"

OP if this sort of thing is relatively normal, you may need to consider whether have a problem.

Most of us like a drink, but heavy drinking for days on end, rings alarm bells for me.

Why not just drink less? Maybe not all 8 days? Or enough that you dont have completely debilitating hangovers?

Out of interest what's in the IV?

As to an IV. I wouldn't be keen on anything like this administered by anyone not medically trained.

Ridiculous and potentially dangerous. Damn right stupid in fact

"As to an IV. I wouldn't be keen on anything like this administered by anyone not medically trained."

Or administered by a medical professional who thinks this is a good way to earn money

Normal in our every day lives ? No of course not. But we are staying at a lifestyle resort and will be enjoying the parties each night and drinking.

Yeah it’s not a DIY off the internet thing. A doctor comes out to you.

If you definitely need to drink to enjoy yourself then here’s another tip:

Let’s say your tipple of choice is a gin and tonic, ask the barman to make you one up and drink half of it. Go back to the bar and get the glass topped up with tonic and drink it until it’s half gone.

Go back to the barman and get him to top the glass again and drink half... you get the idea.

This will allow you to swan around the place permanently tipsy like a louche aristocrat and enjoy the whole night while coming back for more tomorrow

Electrolytes, vitamins etc. It’s also claimed to be good for combatting jet lag. Which does effect me when I fly west

Does it concern you that the doctor chooses treating hangovers rather than practicing medicine as their way to earn money?

So why not just drink an vitamin rich electrolyte drink?

Good idea, am going to try perhaps a water between each drink also.

No it doesn’t concern me that a private doctor charges money for this service.

It sounds very much like a money making gimmicky thing dreamed up by the resort you're going to, so I wouldn't bother with it, even if you don't take the advice above just to drink a bit less.
