"For me ugly is more a personality trait of someone rather than the way they look, someone can be classically attractive to look out but if they are fundamentally a dickhead that makes them ugly. Applies to both sexes" I'm ugly but I dont care I think I'm a nice enough person lol

"Does it explicitly exist or always subjective? Seen a profile declaring an observation that there are some ugly men on fab So for equality are there women and men that could be universally called ugly or is the word a greater reflection of the person using it in anger than the person they are trying to describe? " They may have meant ugly as in not a nice person. Not necessarily their looks but if they do means looks then they are very childish & cruel for saying it.

"I don’t think there’s such a thing as an ugly face, but there’s definitely some ugly souls. Attraction is subjective. This " I'd agree What would we think of the soul of a person ( Man , woman) who explicitly declares this on their profile status??,

Well it becomes more curious because I have found some 'uglies' to be highly attractive ..... it's something in their attitude and magnetism ......

"I think there are people who are more or less aesthetically pleasing to the masses but I agree that ugly comes from within. I do wonder though if parents can see if their child is not attractive or does something happen hormonal when you give birth that makes you think your child is gorgeous." Love is blind, it's the instinct to protect and nurture young. Just as baby animals imprint with mother the mother's do too. Otherwise they would walk off and leave them defenceless. Ever noticed when you fall in love with someone they become attractive to you more than when you first met them? Then when you break you you see them as ugly

That's why you view your children in higher regard to others. Nature making sure you protect your offspring. Some people though weren't made to be parents or they never had a bond with their child. Sadly that's also natures way abandon offspring that aren't ideal.

"For me ugly is more a personality trait of someone rather than the way they look, someone can be classically attractive to look out but if they are fundamentally a dickhead that makes them ugly. Applies to both sexes" Exactly!!! ive been out with some really stunning looking women but their so about themselves and what they can get based on their looks, that you start to see passed the outside and see the ugly inside, does not mean they cant change but I'm not hanging around for the chance they might. Ugly is about there ways and how people act towards others.

"Having said that I'd rather look like me and be a nice person that be a hot sexy guy but not liked at all. I may get laid more but no repete sex as I'd not be liked. Yer I'm good being me " Know what you mean here mate, I’ve never been the guy girls lusted after or wanted, But I’m happy being the nice guy they can always rely on. Beauty is skin deep, but ugliness goes to the bone.

Attraction to a person is an subconscious decision for the most part. In studies done on women tests taken at different stages of their cycle have show attractiveness differs based on where they are in their cycle. The same women complete the same tests with differing results depending on where they are in their cycle

"I think by personal observation . You can have ugly people(to my eye) with beautiful souls and beautiful people with ugly personalities. Pretty, privalaged people don't have to work on their social skills as much to be liked or fit in where ugly not so well off people do. The people i find to have both these qualities are the ones that were ugly children , have struggled in their own life, bullied for some reason who mature and end up beautiful inside and out. Inner beauty always beats skin deep. "

"My favourite saying is “just because the wrapper is pretty doesn’t mean the chocolate is sweet”. Beauty comes from within. A kind heart and a great personality supersedes looks. Unfortunately in today’s fast paced technology age we seldom get to discover the treasures hidden behind the boobs or dick pics. "

" That's great, but does necessitate getting to know that inner person. At a general human level that's great. However in Swing land, it's unrealistic to think it's wrong to judge people at a more physical level.

I wasn’t implying it was right or wrong to judge people on a physical level. Its natural instinct and obviously in swing world physical attraction is important. We’re not taking anyone home to meet the parents lol. My point was that initial attraction can either be enhanced or diminish when you get to know someone

We were discussing whether parents always think their children are attractive. Even after the post birth hormones have gone. I never mentioned sexually at all! You changed it to love and then to being sexual. Neither of which were anything to do with my question so please don't make me out to be innapropriate!
