Is this an actual thing or are people just horny, I watch quite a bit but I wouldn’t get the shakes if I didn’t. What constitutes as an addiction?

like sex addiction the idea of porn addiction is hotly contested and of dubious provenance.

I once met someone who wanted porn on during sex. Then you think, oh I’m not enough then.

I like porn on in the background while I fuck. For me it's got nothing to do with my partner not being enough, it just helped add to the atmosphere.

It is an addiction if your use of it begins to interfere with your basic living needs

e.g. Stops you having friends or family time.

Stops you getting to work.

Stops you getting any other enjoyment like sport or film or walking......

When you do it too often to the detriment of other areas in your life...... then you are addicted.

I'd hate that. I have someone who likes the radio or t.v. on and then complains when I keep saying ...... can't hear ya , can't hear ya......

Unless im synched with the porn in the background it'd just really annoy me. Specially if she was getting more or better than I was.

Let the real person be the focus.

I agree, but addictions can also be minor. Something as minor as somebody who needs coffee to function first thing in the morning has an addiction. Smokers are also addicted but it doesn't go to the extremes you have pointed out.

unless you watch amateur it's hard to see how you could become addicted considering it's all fake.

Why?

People get addicted to smoking and alcohol, proven addictions that cause health issues. How could anyone get addicted to something that does that?

Addiction has nothing to do with real or fake, healthy or unhealthy. It's how you feel at the time of doing something involving it.

It can.

I've witnessed it more than once.

Food money going in fags

No days out for kids cos it would eat up the fag money

Leaving your partner in cinema cos you'd rather smoke.... etc.

The effects on a relationship can be huge.

Good point.

I should have said doesn't always go to that extreme despite still being addicted. An extreme is not the only definition of addiction is my point.

Yes it is addictive.

I haven't had full sex with my Mrs for 9 years, we have had separate bedrooms now for a long time. I need to cum to help me sleep, she knows I use porn every night and is fine with it.

I just can't seem to stop now.

Others might take the view that addicitons are defined in medical literature like the DSM-V, and porn addicition isn't in there. Not by accident, but because there's no evidence that porn addiciton is a real thing.
