Totally disagree, there's a big difference between clean and tidy. My house is a tip, I work hard and can't be arsed to tidy up, but the house is clean and so am I....a bit of dust never killed anyone (oh apart from that guy with the dust allergy, but he's decomposed to almost nothing now in the shed and you can barely smell him anymore)

Dust is made up from food or cardboard, untreated wood and good old fashioned dirt, fabric fibres and dead skin. Clean its not but there is very little faeces in it on the plus side.

Scruffy houses or lived in are always interesting. Some though I would not sit down in never mind disrobe.

That said i do tidy up before a meet and when Sir comes...kev says its the only time i do any fecking house work...i point out dirt protects the kids from asthma and leukemia so i am in fact being a loving mum

I dont really mind if theres a little mess,most people are out at work all day etc.

Have to admit though i always look at decor,can sometimes say alot!

Puts Mr off though, thats the first thing he looks at.

I couldn't live in an untidy house, I couldn't sit down in the evening and relax if it was untidy. I especially love my kitchen being pristine.

Having a nice home is having pride in your surroundings so I do think its important. If its done regularly it takes a few moments to keep fresh too

I am with you totally on that it really don't take that long if its done regularly. There is nothing like a pristine kitchen to inspire confidence, I have been in a few that I wouldn't dare accept a drink after seeing what its like.

I agree a place looking like a shit tip is not attractive- but go to the other extreme and it's just as bad!

Once met a couple at a house so clinically clean I though I was going to get disinfected the second i'd stripped and was so worried about messing up the perfectly crisp, brand new, white cotton sheets with any bodily fluids or sweat - that it was hard to concentrate on the job at hand!

You can be too over the top too!

I'm sooooo glad i'm not the only one. I always check out the backgrounds of pics. One guy tried to convince us he was straight, single and lived on his own but there was a bottle of perfume and a curling tongs on the bedside cabinet, and yes he had a skinhead lol. Nice try mate
