Tiswas was anarchic and scary! Swap Shop with Noel Tidybeard was much better at the time.

TISWAS! I loved it and was in the studio for one episode. It was like organised chaos with three or four mates getting d*unk the night before and dealing with their hangovers by doing outrageous things. It was groundbreaking and so different from what the staid BBC were offering. As for Sally James in stockings with those ship ribbons around her thigh

Tiswas all the way and latter on a Friday night OTT. Both programs were the training ground for Lenny Henry. "gwapple me grapenuts" isn't a saying that would be allowed on morning kids tv nowdays

In 1990 I was 20/21 and too d to watch kids Saturday morning tv but a lengthy 2 month hospital stay meant there was little else to do...

But the appearances on the BBC 1 show with Trevor and Simon were so funny I laughed till it literally hurt. I particularly like their "World of the Strange"
