Are you more of a cook or a microwave person?

Or perhaps you eat out more?

This may seem weird to some of you, but I haven't cooked a meal in my life.

I'm a ping and go man. I eat out quite a lot though.. But I don't mean fancy meals just takeaways because I'm always on the move with work.

I cook.

When I'm at Ash's I batch cook and make him lots of meals to put in the freezer.

I do the same when I'm home.

We do eat out about once a month but never get takeaways.

Have you not even made something super easy, like bolognese using a jarred sauce?

No never. My mother wouldn't allow anyone else to cook their food. She likes doing it all her self for everyone.

I learned to cook from nothing when I left home.

I ate some grim food for awhile, but I learned quickly or went hungry.

It's hard to find healthy food on the go though.

I've now narrowed it down to pasta, rice and chicken shish kebabs.

I dine out four times a week on average. When I'm home I like to cook even if it's just boiling up veg and making soup.

I never have takeaway food - I signed up to just eat last year for the first time because my FB wanted a takeaway. That was the only time I used the account and the first time I've had food delivered since the 90s. If I've been ill sometimes I want chips when I recover so I'll walk the mile to the chipper and get a bag, but it's very rare, thankfully.

Lunches in work I may get a ready meal or a soup and add a bit of veg to it.

We cook mostly although we eat out too.

We've always cooked from scratch as our parents did, our kids do too.

We have a microwave, purely because we bulk prepare babas food and then freeze it. So use the microwave on the defrost setting!

Yup, for me it's a way to reheat home cooked stuff. It takes less time/effort to cook for eight and reheat seven times than cook eight times.

Definitely a home cook, something very therapeutic about handling and experimenting with fresh ingredients, also you no exactly what is going into the end result.

“ minimum levels of saturated fats, salt and sugar “.

Makes the occasional treat so much more enjoyable.

I also home cook and batch cook. That way I have healthy and tasty meals for when I am too busy or tired to cook and I can really enjoy my cooking when I have the time.

I enjoy eating out a couple of times a month at least and I give in to a shared family takeaway about once a month.

.

I love cooking and it's from scratch most nights for several reasons; one, my allergies mean I have to be really careful about what I eat and two, it's like a daft way of showing how much I love and care for my partner. I think if I didn't cook I'd be even larger than I am now.
