My 'stuff' has been in storage for years and only this week have I got to the non essential bits after moving and I found all my old CD's.

Dr Hook currently causing a daft grin on my face, Kirsty McColl next.

Do you ever get a massive memory jog after hearing a tune you'd forgotten about?

Club Meets Only

I grew up on Dr Hook

Queen of the silver dollar is my absolute favourite song.

I've found its the quickest way to get my kids out of the living room too when "moms got her old fogey songs on"

Billy dont be a hero....dancing around a naff red record player as a kid with my sister. Knew all the words.

Little would I know that the scantily clad lady in a leopard skin swimsuit, on the front of the Top of the pops album sleeve, would cause me to join fab years later

I do too! How about “January, ooo ooo ooo ooo, sick and tired you been hangin’ on me, you make me sad with your eyes, you’re tellin’ me lies, don’t gooooh don’t goooooh”

The lyrics of most of them, I’ve no idea how they weren’t banned from the beeb.

This was back in the day before all this PC business & censoring. I guess that's why we refer to them as 'the good old days'

Gilbert O'Sullivan, Alone Again, Naturally. They were some mixed up lyrics.
