Menopause and libido

Hi Folks, my partner is going through the menopause and has all the possible symptoms therefore she’s not having the best of times. The one that’s upsetting her the most is her libido. It’s gone from 100% to zero. She’s always loved sex, massage etc but now can hardly bare to be touched. We get by and I support her 100% and there’s absolutely no issues between us. She’s petrified she won’t get that fanny flutter back and that’s it for the rest of her life. Has anyone else experienced the same and did your libido return at all?

Does your partner know that you're on Fab? If she has an inclination that you are on here maybe her lack of libido is not only menopause related.

I’m perimenopausal and my libido is very wonky.

Today i could fuck my way through a rugby team but the past few months it’s been missing in action.

I’ve read a few posts from women post menopause who say their sex drive came back so fingers crossed.

It's difficult to answer your question because some women do regain their libido and some don't. The only thing I can suggest is arm yourselves with all the knowledge (from reliable sources) that you can. You seem to be doing everything else right.

My wife is going through the menopause and like the OP's wife her libido has gone entirely downhill. I'm also being supportive and praying she'll get it back

Hi.

I’m sorry to hear your wife isn’t have a good time.

A trip the the Dr might appropriate. Maybe try HRT which may help with the libido problem, but will definitely help with the other symptoms: hot flushes, fog brain, mood swings.

Other conditions could affect libido, such as thyroid problems.

Speak to your GP and get some blood tests to help diagnose the problem.

Good luck

She has maybe found out, and is in consultation with her solicitor!

If she knows, then she needs to seek medical help. Menopausal symptoms can be eased with either HRT or anti-depressant meds.

Thyroid was my wifes diagnosis for lack of libido. But she is going through the change

Chams or Socials

My sex drive used to be nuts but it’s disappeared since having a total hysterectomy

Wife went through this last year. Libido hit Rock bottom. Started getting hot flushes etc, so went to the Dr. Prescribed HRT, and libido has returned.
