Recently got into climbing as a way to keep fit instead of the gym, go to the depot and the foundry in Sheffield and finding it massively addictive! Just wondered if any others on here are into climbing/bouldering?

Yes since a boy. Climbed the 3 peaks but mostly in Snowdonia. Crib Goch being my favourite. First traversed that at 12yrs old..

I dabble occasionally but I'm a huge scaredy cat. I often go out with my husband and belay for him through. He's pretty into sport climbing.

I'm a north Wales rock rat . Finding a belayer can be difficult especially a regular one can trust . Thus I usually rope solo up to vdiff

Bristly ridge up to glyder fach in next few weeks and tryfan is just a playground ( in the safest considered and calm way )

I love climbing! Slightly more into rope climbing than bouldering. Although, having said that, I've never bouldered outside.

The local climbing gym is a weekly trip for me.

Ive been up past Pontypridd a few times climbing and once in Cardiff. I so want to go again but it does get expensive if I dont have a belayer and dont fancy going on my own, ive noone to wiggle my bum too lol

Been climbing 25plus years and all over the world with it, from a rock monkey to ice..and a fair few mountaineering epics..... but favourite place is still the lakes nothing like being perched on a belay looking along the one of the valleys, or hanging off Gimmer.

Qualified as an instructor and SRT but it’s mostly days out with friends now.

Much better than the gym but don’t forget your cardio

I used to climb in Northumberland and the Lakes.. A brief spell before I had kids. I loved it, especially off the valley floor. I scramble about now when in the mountains but would love to take it up again!

Big fan of rock climbing..... bouldering was my favourite pastime for many years. Can’t beat the freedom of pushing yourself and body to its physical limit without the risk of death. Enjoyed my time trad climbing and also sports climbing but bouldering really hooked me until major injury ( from trad days past) forced me to stop. Hope to be back soon.

Will be down at the depot in Sheffield with my son though. He’s taking after his dad lol.

Been climbing for years now. Train indoors at least once a week and get out when I can. Lucky with where I live, Pembrokeshire is only just over an hour away with some of the best sea cliff climbing in the country. Gower just down the road and a nice mix of sandstone and limestone quarries around bolted for sport.

Favourite though it's mountain routes - especially winter though it's been a good few years since we last had abby good winter conditions locally.

Just had a great session with auto belays, top rope and a lead (which I totally failed at).

And I'm so close to sending that 6a+!

Hopefully next time I'll crack the last move

I love to climb/boulder, and you're in a fantastic part of the country for it. Some of the best boulderers in the world are based around Sheffield.

Without a doubt, some of the climbers you see on the walls are at such a crazy level is mind boggling to watch!
