Spanish flu was MANY years ago. Medicine has moved on since then.

So far there have been no fatalities outside of China, as far as I know.

I'm going to continue washing my hands and keeping fit. If I catch it I will be ill but as a fit and healthy adult there's no reason I would die.

We had that or similar just after Christmas, both ended up on antibiotics and it took me about 4 weeks to shift the bugger..

Actually you are wrong there.....Children were less susceptible as their immune systems hadn't fully developed. A healthy adult with strong immune system suffered more, as when they caught the virus, the stronger immune system went into overdrive and literally turned on itself, killing many adults in their prime
