Does anybody have highlift tint on their hair?

I made the mistake of having highlights with bleach and it's taken me the best part of two years to get the condition back, would highlift tint be any better for it?

Definitely but the contrast in colours isn’t great. Think muted highlights.

I just want a bit of brightness. I'm never allowing bleach near my hair again, I got really scared because I couldn't get a comb through it when I'd washed it

Gawd. Been there when I stupidly decided my black, long hair would be so much better pillar box red.

Scary isn't it. I pulled so much hair out every time I washed it. I swore never to do it again.

I ruined mine a few months ago by bleaching.

I'm now trying to stick to semi permanent tints and trying to avoid the end.

I think though it might need to be majorly cut soon though.

Good luck

Have you tried the purple shampoos?

There's a blonde one I bought before going on holiday which was really good too and it wasn't even an expensive one. It had colour pigments in it. I'll try and find a link for it

I do. I use bedhead and a deep conditioning treatment every time I wash it. It's in great condition now but I don't want to compromise that.

I'm fact my hair looks great for my height

Yeah I had to have a good cut every six weeks for the past 18months/2 years.

My hairdresser only ever tints the roots but I want a bit of a lift and highlights just brighten me up a bit.

Any colour can affect the condition of hair. If the colour has been over processed then it will dry hair out. People are scared of using bleach but if done correctly then it can be no more harming than any other colour

You could ask your hairdresser to use Olaplex alongside any highlight/bleach too. It's unbelievably good for saving hair.

the tint my hairdresser uses doesn't seem to affect it, just bleach. Maybe she wasn't using it correctly, I'm not prepared to risk it again

She is gonna strip out current colour (red on black), then bleach, then apply red /purple plum (not decided yet)
