A rare day off

I'm a very busy lady but recently needed a break so booked a day off just for me...no kids...work phone switched off etc. However instead of doing anything exciting or meaningful I have lounged around and have currently been in the bath for an hour.

What do you do on a rare day of peace?

Much the same. I have the very best of intentions but usually end up doing very little or productive.

That said it’s still restful and time away from work

surrounded by twinkly lights

I do lots of self indulgent things and generally on my own as well, feel so refreshed afterwards

I grab my camera, tripod & go photograph something calm & picturesque.

Either that or, veg out at home & be really lazy lol

It very rarely happens but I’ve somehow ended up with 5 days off in a row after today.

Heading over to a fab girly friends house and we’re hitting up a couple of clubs over the weekend

I take time to relax and just have quiet time

Today however I had round 2 and 3 with someone I met at a club night

Laze in a bath and then veg on the sofa watching everything I've recorded- and usually manage to fall asleep. That's IF the housework is done to my satisfaction. Which it usually isnt!!

I had one of these last week. I booked the day off work and my ex had the kids. My plan was a lazy day , go shopping and have a meet in the evening, unfortunately alcohol and an old friend got in my way

You asked

What I do on a rare day off

Why would I want to spend a day relaxing I would then cook fine food build a fire and relax in bed from 8 30 PM to complete my perfect rare day off ?

Sounds perfect, when my parents lived in the UK, they lived right on the beach and on my weekends off me and my kids (Young then ) would always drive up to my parents and it was so nice , we’d go walking the dogs on the beach, we would watch ships, go hunting, then we’d all go for drinks and food in the village pub, dogs included
