I'm Spartacus...

His favourite film he acted in Lonley Are The Brave.

He got the part of colonel Troutman in First Blood but refused to continue filming as they refused to uphold his script change requests.

He owned the script rights to One Flew Over The Cookoos Nest and played Mcmurphy on Broadway. He later fell out with son Michael who directed the film for not giving it to him but choosing Jack.

My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son. Husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

I was going to send you a screen shot but sadly I'm too old for your filters lol. Heres the official word...

Kirk played McMurphy in the Broadway play from '63-'64. He then bought the film rights and tried to get various studios to fund the film for 10yrs with obviously no luck.

He sold the rights to co-producer son Michael. The rift came when his son refused to give his Dad the starting role in favour of Jack Nicholson.

And then got the Oscar for best actor which he never got. Ha ha.

Ps watch Out of the Past. Well sinister. Mitchum is better though.
