"Nearest street pie store I found was in Moscow Haha il have a nosy see if I can find link. Wright's pies originated in Crewe and branched out." Ok I may have misread some time. Ok they've created a grab and go selection which they will see in stores under the name street pie. They will be selling them in Leeds. In 3 flavours piri PRI chicken, Cajun bbq and beef adobo.

BUT I appreciate lots of people think differently to me and if works for them then it's great. It's an exciting time to be plant based because there are so many options now. I've only been in one restaurant in the last couple of years where I couldn't eat anything and had to just drink coffee. Fairly sure the ex-MIL chose it deliberately

Not sure if you would get meat juice on the vegan whopper though.. " The local ones here that deliver state they are which means they have a separate fryer just for the burgers. But they state the fries are not I think it would be more productive to fry non meat foods separately i.e. fries, onion rings etc. Some McDonald's state an item is vegetarian then others state not some fry them with fish products. Burger King used to have vegetarian society seal of approval on their vegetarian assured products. They should bring this back.

"Mind was two fingers of veg burger but no salad and s bit of mayo.. not imptessed" Sounds crap, I order with added gherkins and cheese slice, so lettuce, mayo cheese, gherkins and veggie gujions cheese is 30p and they forget to add it sometimes which isn't so bad if I'm in store but with delivery it's a pain to sort out refund

No am not a vegan but agree with ethical farming animals having quality of life etc. Humans were never ment to be vegans just check out the food chain. To me it's all about balance. You'll find proteins coming from insects and the meat eating population will be eating cricket burgers instead of beef. They have higher protein count per gram and a tiny fraction of the carbon footprint farming has. A sustainable meat protein source. I won't be eating insects though

There are wild "cows" and they continue to live so butchers would rarely use them due to not having the meat quality or milk. The farmed cattle are not natural and them dying out would of be no actual loss because they'd have been sent to the butcher's where meat eaters will devour the last of the meat cattle. Humans created what probably would never have occurred naturally. Meat eaters saying what a loss it would be if they died out but happy for them to go to slaughter. I'd wager next 20 years there would be no cattle left for meat market. Farmers can't survive on what they get now for them.

Yet another thread I'm misinterpreted Farmers are subsidised for their goods. Come a time it will stop. Then meat will be £100 per lb or they find a sustainable alternative i.e. insects The farmed cow is not natural evolution and I doubt any farmer would let a herd all die and go to waste. Things do evolve even humans caused a massive evolution in a matter of decades which would naturally occur of millennias Elephant populations rising due human interference. Elephants were poached for their tusks and the population growth increased due to the fact elephants being born tuskless. This is human induced evolution. Line breeding is not evolution but manipulation of genetics. Larger muscles, leaner meats, increased milk production.

I absolutely LOVE iChoc bars, Vego, some of the green and blacks dark chocolate, bournville orange chocolate, etc. I went cold turkey with cheese, definitely the hardest to stop eating but that's because of the hormones in it. It's almost like crack. Vegan cheese is somewhat of an acquired taste

"We have a huge problem with obesity. It doesn't matter if you are vegan, vegetarian or a traditional carnivore. If you eat well and are active you will have a normal bmi. If you eat sh*t (burgers etc.) and sit on your arse you will be fat. Meat is irrelevant. And just to wind a few people up. The NHS has a limited resource. If you are using those resources because of self inflicted issues which include obesity, smoking and the odd glass too many (guilty), you are affecting the outcome of your parent's or children's chances of surviving cancer and other serious illnesses. " I'm fat and vegetarian but it's not all about what I eat or do. But thanks for pointing out dietry requirements to support a healthy bmi
