I haven't once separated my clothes for the wash and nothing bad has happened.

Sure, I've shrank some jumpers in the tumble dryer. But not once have my colours run

Ahhhh very useful a washing thread. I'm newly single and also new to the washing machine. Q. I have a shirt that is mostly white but has some colour on the collar, cuffs and where the buttons are Do I wash it as white or colours? as it has both? Thanks in advance as it's my favourite shirt

I throw it in with everything else. 30 degrees for normal clothes. 40 degrees for work clothes

You obviously have never washed white towels with black work gear..... mine all look grey now and I’ve banned Mr J from washing any whites
