Have many people on here made friends (no sex included friends)?

I didn’t actually think I had and then I realised I’ve been friends with a guy for 2 years now who I actually met via fab.

He’s a straight guy so there was never any sexual intention there and I explained this and he didn’t mind (usually some say they don’t mind but think they’re playing the long game haha)

He’s friends with both me and my partner, we’ve met his mother and family etc.

But the funny thing is because we know each other from here our conversations are much more free and unrestricted.

There are a few people (of both genders) who I consider friends and who go way beyond Fab in terms of that friendship - with some of them the thought of sex with them doesn't even enter my head.

I take the view that just because the underlying purpose of the site is sex - it doesn't have to be any different from any other interest I have where I get to know people and the relationship with them goes beyond that interest.

Yes, absolutely. Some where sexuality or preference mean that the deed is out of the question, others distance. I value it more than the sex.

Yes I totally agree. It’s so nice to have people with no expectation of sex that you can talk openly and frankly to about well sex haha!

We've met a great couple who we are friends with. Have met children etc...

It's just so lovely to be able to chap openly with someone. Not exactly the conversations I can have with my mum!!! Lol..

Yep! I love them to pieces. I can ask for advice on work, we can laugh during a hour long tube journey, talk about epiphanies and lingerie advice and daemons and we do lots of non sexual activities. One of them will have to put up with me dragging her around a wedding fair soon and I can't wait!

Well I dunno about friends but know when I was house bound after knee operation and ended using forums for chat and help to get an escape people spoke and supported me.

So I found fab amazon as people asked how I was and gave me boost on bad days.

Still hope make real friends as struggle with that due to anxiety and nerves which had since got bullied at teen and beaten up daily and again last 5 yrs since was sexually assaulted.

But hope now can know and friend ppl even if just virtual

Yes I have made some amazing genuine friendships and I’m blown away by it! I never expected it from FAB to be honest! I have people in my life now that I hope will be in it forever thanks to FAB!

We definitely have! Over the time we have been on fab we can honestly say we have met someone of the most down to earth,kind,caring individuals and couples we could have ever hoped for. People we share our feelings with and are interested in on a way deeper level. It's what's made the swinging world worth it for us and over time has become even more important than the naughty bits.

Sometimes the idea of opening up to people is seen as a bad trait when sex is involved but with the right people it just makes these moments that are so special. It just about finding the right connection and personalities that we vibe with. We have been very lucky
