We have yet to meet any others on here who also enjoy running!

Now that Parkrun has become very popular, are there lots of new converts to this great activity?

Cambridge

There are several runners and park runners on here. There’s usually a weekly thread that pops up where people can log runs and get a bit of inspiration, advice and just chat.

I used to parkrun a lot but my youngest has football that starts at 0930, so that's put a nail in that one

I’ve done a few. My sister does plenty.

More concerningly so does my 6 year old nephew, whose times are getting worryingly close to mine.

I run at parkrun from time to time. Sometimes just a bit too crowded and busy. The January rush will die down soon though I suppose.

I must look out for those threads, as I've not seen them before

I shall be at my local run, for something like run number 265.

For a fat lad who doesn't really like running, that's not bad....

I have just run my 10th park run - completing 9 of them

First one - 31.33, nearly dying post race. First time I had ever done a 5km outside

yesterday - 28.23 - fine with in about 5 to 10 mins post race

Out of the 9 I have completed- 8 Personal and course Pb , with a course Pb on the other one.

5 have been under 30 mins, 4 of which were under 28 mins!!!!

Not bad for a lad carry about 8kg more than I should be!!!! And in late 30s

If you come to Gloucester we have three happy to run with visitors, as long as they’re not too fast
