London

I’ve just managed to wash my bank card and oyster travel card (both plastic) by forgetting my card wallet was in my trouser pockets when putting them in the washing machine.

They both look intact, a little cold/damp, so what’s the likelihood they both work tomorrow and I get to work/pay for anything during the day?

Very high likelihood they will work. Don't tumble dry 'em tho. That really f**** them up...

I found them whilst loading the tumble dryer, thankfully.

You could warm them by ironing them.

I got my deposit and balance back in my Oysters a few weeks ago, £18 back. Just use my contactless bank card now to pay as I go whenever in the Big Smoke. TfL are holding on to millions in deposits!
