Your advice, please, people of Fab..

I've had a disappointing day and am determined not to let this dark mood cloud the whole weekend.

I'm going to take my camera on a road trip tomorrow and get outside. I'm not far from Leeds/Wakefield..... what beautiful photo-worthy spots within a 2hr drive should I go to?

Sounds like a great idea and something I've not done in far too long and need to do myself too as I love driving.

Not so good with a camera.

If you find any good places then I'd love to hear about them

?

It depends what you want to photograph.

York has beautiful buildings and street photography.

Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay are beautiful.

Or head across to The Pennines for fantastic views

Wild landscape appeals. RH Bay is a great idea.

Redditch

All this talk of road trips is giving me itchy feet.

Sounds like I need a free weekend to go and drive round Yorkshire, but I'm pretty well committed every weekend until mid-April

Sandal Castle is a great spot...

They are nice places, but on my doorstep so I'm familiar with them.

Loving your suggestions, thank you!

So far, it's an early morning drive to Whitby & Robin Hoods Bay with a drive home over the North York Moors.

Anyone want to raise that?

The Yorkshire Dales are beautiful. Try Aysgarth and that sort of area. They filmed parts of All Creatures Great and Small there and part of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
