Durham

On my commute to and from work I have fantastic open country roads to drive on I and may see a maximum of about 10 cars on my 5 mile journey, one way. I know I am very lucky to work so close to home.

How is your commute to work?

I get to enjoy 75 miles worth of the M1 every day, but outside of normal rush hour, so it's not too bad. Cruise control, radio, and relax

I used to cycle through vineyards in the Alps. I changed country and job though. Now I just walk down the road. Luke

Drive down a dirt track to a c classed road, then onto a B road after 20 minutes onto an A road then into work, Love the peace and quiet of living where we do.

Depends on my start time. As a part timer my start time is different each day. Wednesday is my latest start. Yesterday it took me 55 minutes to get to work. Today I left home 15 minutes earlier and the journey was only 20 minutes!

Retired and clock up on average 30,000+ miles per year as I love to drive and tour

If I'm in the normal office its 45 minutes to an hour of motorway, don't tend to hit too many major issues.

If I'm at the production site (there at least one day a week) it's 90 minutes of gorgeous winding roads over the hills of North Wales.

Hiding from twats

10 min drive, 10 min walk, 40 min train, 20 minute walk. Ugh. Luckily I'm only part time so don't do it every day.

20 mins Country road. Can sometimes be busy as people avoid the A road with the same idea as me. Get stuck behind a bimbler and it will take longer but it’s a nicer journey so you drop back and chill.

My commute is never the same, my work can take me to all sorts of places .. my favourite commute is down the stairs into the massage room or up the Northumbrian coast to Alnmouth.

Norfuck! / Lincolnshire

Mine is different every day; sometimes it’s the congested M1 / M69 (ha ha!)

Sometimes it’s beautiful open countryside

Either way, the daily change makes the travelling worth while

"Take me home..... "

That's totally where I was going with this

I'm a bus wanker, sometimes it can take 10 mins, other times it can take an hour.

Hoping the bus arrives soon and it's a 10 minute jobby coz I'm practically touching cloth

Over half of our clients are in Birmingham city centre.

12 miles of M5 (15 mins) then 5 miles of the Hagley Road (lucky if that takes 45)

It's nice when we are popping to someone local for a change.

Up until the end of last year it was a 90 mile round trip on mostly fast roads. There were a few spots that could get awful traffic though and even without I resented the cost in time and money as well as the environmental impact. Now my commute is across the landing to the spare room.

45 minutes of A Road each way. It’s my “me” time and I listen to my music at full blast.

I don’t enjoy Motorway driving so it’s my quieter, chilled out alternative.

I live on a quiet country road, most of my route is on them. They’re a pain for keeping the car clean though, those pesky tractors with their feeding the nation jobs!

You shouldn't go to the Lake District for the towns. You need to go and get onto the mountains, play on the lakes, experience the wild outdoors, go to the villages when it isn't peak season. Towns aren't the real Lake District.
