So hard to choose just one, especially as places are also the particular moment you visited...

Ko Phang YAng, before the airport on Samui opened.

Ko Toa (after the airport opened )

Laos, all of it, but especially Luang Prabang

North wales, the scenery and company

Macleod Gange cos i met the Dalai lama

Kending, first child conceived there...

Stopping now my spell check is going to have a breakdown,

I've not been anywhere really... the one time I went away was lovely. It was somplace in Spain but away from the big touristy places. Me and 4 friends went to a lovely villa for 2 weeks, it was beautiful, close to the beach, had a pool and lovely local bars and eating places. I loved it.

Havana, you can still see the beauty behind the somewhat tatty facade.

Rome - breathtaking - your eyes never stay still soooo many wonderous things to behold.

Prague - standing on the Charles Bridge...beautiful.

New Zealand, particularly the South Island with its spectacular vistas in the southern alps. Six glorious weeks touring NZ is something I'll never forget.

Scotland - my place of birth. My favourite place being the Fort William / Nevis Range areas.

North Wales / Snowdonia. Rugged and just breathtakingly stunning.

Boston Mass. for the history and a beautiful city.

The train journey to Syracuse in the Autumn for the colours and raw nature.

Nigara Falls

The logging camps in Ivory Coast and hearing a mahogony tree hit the ground 10 miles away.

Kruger Safari Park and seeing a lion far too up close and personal.

Amongst others.

+1 to that.

I love Keswick in Cumbria too. Such an idyllic place.

Cornwall is right up there on my list of great places to visit, and Northumberland is just tranquil in itself.

NYC makes you feel 'alive'

I just love the vibe it gives.

No matter how many times I go, it still takes my breath.

Closer to home, I love Berlin and I could quite happily spend a few days in Western Majorca - Soller especially.

Away from the tourist hangouts of the lower lakes, The Lake District is stunningly beautiful - Ullswater and Wast Water are my favourites.

I love North Yorkshire too - the towns, the villages and the coast

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

Viewed from the railway, there`s many locations I love and would go back to again. In no order at all .... Lune Gorge in Cumbria, the tunnels near Dawlish in Devon when the late evening sun is on them, the view of Liverpool from Birkenhead Docks, Looe Valley.
