When I’ve got a gentleman round and he suggests a film I always put my favourite one on it’s called Drive and Ryan Gosling is in it.

Second film would be black hawk down.

Hmm, without thinking too much about it I will go for animation and fantasy!

Pretty broad range of genre for me. Not horror or gratuitous violence though.

I tend to enjoy quirky indie ones.

Or comedies.

I do like horror and sci fi a lot...

However dramas, that have a philisophical edge seem to stick with me the most. An obvious one would be the shawshank redemption, for example.

"The reader" i thought was another excellent drama, set around the events of world war 2..i saw that a few years ago, made a big impression..

Drama or comedy. I'll only really be rocked by a film if it has great dialogue.

There and to the left a bit

So many different genres with so many crossovers between them - I mean a war film could also be an action film or a drama, a crime film could be action or thriller etc

The films that tend to grip me most though are thrillers and dramas
