Are you bothered about how people take you?

I feel on the forums I’m taken very seriously by a lot of people who don’t know me well. 90% of the time I’m really not being serious at all. I suppose it’s because I don’t always use emojis

I’m relatively new to this site and have only started posting on the Forums within the last day or two. The fact I’m very much a “Newbie” to both this site and Lifestyle and trying to take the first steps means I am a little shy, cautious and tentative so I suppose I am slightly conscientiously atm until I’ve posted a bit more and had some interactions, conversations and exchanges then I doubt it will bother me too much as I don’t have high expectations atm and just dipping my toes and testing the water so to speak lol

Only that I hate being tarred by the same brush as all other guys get tarred.

But generally, not so much. I’m me. I know what I have to offer, what my flaws are and where I excel.

I know I’m a really decent guy who cares and considers others on a par, if not more than he does for himself.

I’m happy with me, and if you’re not, well, I can’t do anything about that and you’re missing out.

If you’re happy with me too, then even better!

Only a little but that's more because there aren't as many like me on here as there are women or regular men so not too sure sometimes how people will take me.

I'm on good behaviour for now till I work people out better and get out to a social to meet some of you.

I do wonder if I'd come across the same way as a guy not a CD....who knows, maybe one day I'll make that profile.

No. but I do write my meet messages on fab and the forum posts on fab in different styles of writing, so I am happy that I'm not misunderstood on what I am trying to say to potential meets.

Forum is just for fun and perving and I hope if I did offend anyone they would feel able to call me on it.

I’m bothered if people take me up the wrong in with a _aseball bat.

Other than that I’m quite easy going and go by take me as you find me.

I do get bothered if people are offended by something I’ve done as I’m very rarely offensive purposely.

Sometimes. I know I am an acquired taste and generally people either like me or loath me. I mean well though, I only ever have the best intentions at heart, and my mission in life is to have a laugh and make others laugh. It can get a bit tiring I'm sure if I'm just trying to be funny on all my posts and not writing serious stuff, but I do try and be serious when serious is called for

On a side note, I think my playful sarcasm is rubbing off on Vic by the way she's been winding up some single guys who message us! I'm so proud of her

"I’m relatively new to this site and have only started posting on the Forums within the last day or two.

Welcome to the site and forums. You'll come across all sorts on here, but don't take things too seriously. A hard shell comes in handy and a sense of humour!

Thank you for the welcome! Aw I’m sure it’ll not be long before I’m rambling a lot of aulde pish, having a laugh and making as much sense a nympho baker with a broken baguette! Just easing my way into the forums to start with lol "

I am bothered if people I really like misunderstand me, but it doesn’t happen often. I like direct feedback that I am grateful for even if I don’t agree with it entirely, as I learn from it because their perception is their reality and there is always an important truth in their perception. If I have done something that has upset them I generally apologise if I actually think I have done something I feel was wrong. Sometimes I know I can behave like a twat too so own that I also get it wrong frequently.

I've known so many people who don't give a shit what people think about them and sometimes I think it's the best way to be. I do think though sometimes you need to look in the mirror and ask yourself why does everyone have something bad to say about me?

I think we all have preconceived ideas about people on here and will interpret posts from people to fit our perceptions.

So if we like someone, we’ll see a post from them as being light hearted and a pisstake but someone we don’t particularly like, the same post would be taken as them being serious and trying to cause trouble.

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

I don't give a monkey's what anyone thinks of me on here. I don't know anyone and probably never will get to know anyone from here. The forum to me is a distraction to pass the time when the adverts are on the telly, or, such as now, when I'm stuck in an hotel room somewhere wondering what's on the menu tonight.

In real life, I care what those close to me think about me and when my best mate fell out with me last year, and in his words said "as far as I'm concerned, you're dead", that hurt. Lots. I worked hard, though, and nine months later we can share a laugh and a joke again, which makes me immensely happy.

Yes. I am. Not for my own sake but the sake of someone who should perhaps not be online without their carer.

I have never set out to offend anyone and never make personal remarks unless it's an obvious joke with someone who has been here a long time and I know they won't take things to heart and start bleating about their feelings being hurt as if everything that is said is about them.
