"Sadly because of nowt norty but the area near where I live has been live on the BBC National News today! Scenes of the River Stour near Sturminster Marshall has featured seemingly in every bullitin today and the first one had an interview with my cardiac nurse who lives in the Mill that was just the other side of the bridge! It doesn`t surprise me that the Stour has flooded with the amount of rain we`ve had because the Stour is mainly a surface water river. Had the river been at the level it should be before the rain then I think we`d be in trouble! Great to see your home bit of the country in the news for the right reasons! ![]() i'm taking it the hose pipe bans,on the back burner now. ![]()

"............ i'm taking it the hose pipe bans,on the back burner now. ![]() I very much doubt it because the water has mainly run off the top and not soaked down to the water table. The Stour would normally flood two or three times each winter. This is the first time it`s flooded since winter/spring 2009/10
