I suppose lino would be good for doggers - easy to wipe clean.

Wood might give them splinters.

And i prefer lino in kitchens not tiled flooring as it’s cold. Lino in bathrooms too. I like a bit of lino.

Thick carpet for the lounge and bedroom and stair areas. Real wood for hallways. Tiles for kitchen and dining room and crappy lino for bathrooms so it can be regularly updated at minimal cost.

used to have wooden flooring but now changed to carpet and the feeling is soooo much better with carpet feels alot warmer and comfy
