It's a day of your life you'll never get back. No test required just attendance

Yes. It will make you think and recognise that you're not perfect.

A lot will seem dull and like being back at school and there's often one or two gobby twat boy racers playing the big man trying to catch out or wind up the presenters.

The presenters at mine were both ex-emergency services who'd scraped many a body off the tarmac. They didn't pull any punches.

They threw one twat out so he'll have paid for the course and still got the points for not completing it.

Incorrect. Don’t get caught

OP - no test. Just attend, be pleasant, and that’s it. Don’t be late though!

Northampton

I went to one a few months back. It's basically just a 4 hour slide show with a few group discussions

Brighton - even Hove!

Someone I knew got killed by a guy driving too fast. A split second mistake and.....game over. Life over. They shovelled some of him up.

"Yes."

Might be different depending which area you live in then. No test when I did mine having been caught in Essex.

Hello,

It's exactly what it says, a speed awareness course.

Everyone is nice and friendly and not 'too' patronising.

You'll see a film or two and go over questions together like speed limits, weather etc......

It's a pleasant day and better than getting points.

Enjoy.

BRIDPORT

No test on the one I attended as such, but we were put in groups to answer a short questionnaire and then the answers were discussed by the whole room, all quite casual.

If you turn up thinking it’s going to be a waste of time then it will be, but if you are prepared to engage and participate then you’ll get something from it, even if it’s only to clarify what some of the traffic laws actually are.

visiting the beach

I felt it to be quite a useful course. One that should be incorporated into new driver training.
