A hilly 12 miles today with my girlfriend who hasn't ran further than a 10km for several months.

Yesterday saw me get a 24.30 parkrun, only went faster than that 3 times last year.

Other than that it's been an easy week with just a club run on Tuesday but 4 gym sessions working on strength.

Jesus - that was the hardest 25 mins of my life!!!

Anyway up early to a 5km in morning before work

We did a hilly 10.5 mile run yesterday.

Tomorrow we have interval training, a tempo run on Friday. 2 cross training sessions of skiing (dry ski slope) and walking (hopefully a mountain hike), and a 14 mile run on Sunday.

Smashed 5k this morning. A sub 30 which is always good. With the highest amount of incline yet on pavements with traffic lights for the middle 2km. Buzzing with that!!!! Just shows a couple of more days more recovery from a cold and fitness comes back!!!! - 29.50 (pace 5.57). Not a pb but I don’t care

Stretch and flex is like yoga and Pilates - felt a bit silly at first and actually got in to.

3km done in 5km pace!!! Not rapidly quick but it did feel a bit icey out there and on pavements so didn’t give it 100% for heart rate deliberated. Still 6min km though

Another 5k done this morning. 33 second improvement and almost back under the 30 minute mark.

I’m no gazelle but glad to be back out and improving after a 3 month lapse.

Let us say that I'd been burning the candle at both ends for 5 days..

Spontaneous 10k this morning, few substantial hills. I'd like to lop 10-minutes off, get back to previous form- but with swollen tonsils, I did well not to vomit 10 times the first 2 miles. Just Glad to have finished.

If you've got tonsillitis you really shouldn't be running!

I know this feeling after last week thinking after 2 days in bed I would still be able to run and realising and failing miserably

Recovering from a head cold buuuuttt wanting to hit 60km in January meant I went out for my longest-ever run this lunchtime - thanks Strava...

Just over 8km at 5.13/km average, I'm feeling pretty pleased!

For me, once the initial achey feverish stage is over, and if it hasn't gone to my chest, running with a cold is ok once I get myself out there.

Parkrun 100 ticked off today. And a very windy coastal run as we're touristing which made a change from the normal mud and puddles! Another sub 25 despite a ridiculously slow 1st kilometre due to 2 walkers starting at the front and causing a huge bottleneck!

Short sharp threshold 5.5km blast this morning as crunched for time. Planning for a long slow distance one tomorrow.

I need to motivate myself to enter some 10ks

parkrun done this morning: not quick, but happy enough as first 5km after a calf tear.

Looking forward to London Winter 10k next week

Hi, I started running 2 months ago and my fastest Parkrun is 19:07. I’ve just been training twice a week, if I train 3 or 4 times a week, what do you think I could get it down to realistically ?
