When did you last speak to your next door neighbour and why.

Asked her to move her car off her dive whilst I jetwashed mine, previous owner of mine never kept up to anything so it was gross, probably never been done.

Didn’t want all the shit spraying around over her car.

London

Just before Christmas at 7am in the morning. We had both retired and were planning on selling up and moving out of London.

Both lamenting that at 60 and 70 we were on our way to work as we realised we couldn't afford to retire just yet.

Never have. Next neighbour 1/2 mile up the lane is holiday cottage, next neighbour 1/2 mile down the lane haven’t got a clue who lives there.

Whenever we see them, I live on a friendly street where everyone says hi to each other. Full conversation probably a couple of weeks ago.

"Never have. Next neighbour 1/2 mile up the lane is holiday cottage, next neighbour 1/2 mile down the lane haven’t got a clue who lives there. "

Sounds ideal!

I'm polite to my neighbours but avoid full on convos. I prefer to keep myself to myself

Hiding from twats

2 days ago, he came to pick up an Amazon parcel. I don't normally talk to the neighbours if I can help it.

Manchester (she/her)

Probably something about the weather while holding the gate open for them. Last full blown conversation, god knows.

She's a lovely old lady who always keep our parcels safe if they deliver them when we are not at home

Yesterday. We're all on very good terms, thank goodness. It was a quick hello, in passing

Cornwall

We'll speak most days whether it's a quick word about the weather or quick hello but will often have longer chats too.

On good terms with most of the neighbours (just one landlord for one lot of neighbours who's a pain in the arse & wouldn't waste my breath trying to speak to him if he's around)

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe

My neighbours live above me, but their door and car parking area are on the opposite side of the building to me, so don't often see them, though did have a 5 min chat yesterday as they were walking around the gardens when I got home from work.

Liverpool

We're very friendly with the couple on the flat opposite. I think I talked to her about a week ago when we both came home at the same time. I think I was complaining about the cost of car maintenance and she was talking about doing long distance drives to visit family over Christmas.
