It's just a natural part of the bodies lubrication and protection systems like sweat. Like sweat though that doesn't mean you shouldn't wash it off!

It's a great word though and well done to Grant and Naylor for bringing it to us (in the first few seasons of Red Dwarf which were actually worth watching).
