I’m currently on Nescafé Azera Intenso and it’s quite nice, I usually have Nescafé Alta rica or Lor Rich and aromatic.

Any other recommendations?

First suggestion is try a week on decent filter coffee, caffitiere cheap and easy.

Then after a week taste your old one and fall down in amazement at how awful and chemical it tastes.

I have one just dislike washing it out. Plus haven’t bought fresh beans for ages.

I used to work in costa back in 1999/2000, one of the best years of my life if I’m honest.

Carte Noir but it's gone shit since the company sold out and the blend changed, now go for a nice South American blend.

Some instant is okay, I know there’s nothing better than having a sit down and then pushing down on that cafetière but sometimes in the mornings just gotta do instant and kettle and out the door!

Halifax

If pushed to drink instant.. then shoved the milk in first with the sugar and coffee before adding the water. Seems a bit silkier somehow.

Added whiskey or brandy always goes down well(with me anyway) too.

Eases the pain, innit.

local, but not too local

Lavazza in the gold tin. It’s about £4.50 a pop at full price but it’s often on offer.

"Douwe Egberts (jacobs) pure indulgence "

This and drop a tiny but of cold water in first mix it up

And don't boil the kettle. If the water is to hot the coffee has a burnt bitter taste.

Lavazza Prontissimo! Intenso.

Good stuff. Better than a lot of “proper” coffees I’ve had.

This is the only instant coffee I'll drink. I only make filter coffee at home and I bought azera for work. It's certainly one of the better instant coffees. Wouldn't touch those crap bags they do. They're awful.

Manchester (he/him)

I have kenco millicano at home which is alright, at work it's nescafe which is foul and makes me grumpy (hence why I drink it, as my anger at bad coffee wakes me up).

There's nothing like fresh coffee though. I'd give body parts for a real coffee machine, which ironically is how much they cost!
