Labiaplasty, is it worth it?

Have any of the women here had a labiaplasty? If so, how was your experience? And do you think it was worth it in the end, would you do it again if you had to make the choice a second time?

It has massively gained in popularity in recent years and achieves high satisfaction outcomes combined with low complication rates

Remember, elective surgical procedures for cosmetic purposes are largely about how the results make you feel rather than just the visual improvement aspect

I have, did it for myself no one else,50th birthday present.still recouping,so much hard to recover from than l ever imagined but that may be due to my age.

I’m sure l will be happy with the results in the end,ask me again in another month ,dury is out at them moment

Of course, it's not something I'd do with at the first clinic I came across, there's no undoing it so quality care is my top priority. I just wondered about any cons after surgery from people that have had it done.

I used to dream about this when I was younger. I hated my vagina. I was 15 when I first got with my partner and I didn't let him have a good look at it for YEARS. I was petrified of giving birth one day knowing midwives would have to see my vagina.

It's so sad but society had made me feel so ashamed of my fucking fanny. I was so obsessed over it. Why doesn't it look like the ones in porn? Why is my labia bigger and why does it sticksl out? Why do all the boys go on about how ugly larger labia is?!

But now, I realise it really is just boys and narrow minded idiots who try to shame a woman for how her vagina looks. I think these days larger labia is more accepted by society and even in porn you see a huge variety of vaginas and they are all so different.

I wouldn't have it done now, not even if you paid me. I love my vagina. I'd only get it done if it was uncomfortable or if I was really down about it and it bothered me every day of my life. Sometimes it's worth having something like this done if it's really getting to you. It's a choice only you can make.

How is a successful Labiaplasty affected as your Oestrogen levels deplete in menopausal years? ( yes I know you’re way off that OP)

It’s well known that Labia decrease in size in later years and if you have had this procedure how does it then affect?

I'm a massive lover of large labia, have been for years. It's such a sexy look. Some lips are even, some are longer on one side than the other, some dark, some lighter, I love them all.

I have always been conscious of mine because of how big they are and felt ugly because of it. I dreaded giving birth the first time too because I thought I was abnormal. Turns out they didn't bat an eyelid, obviously.

I have a scar down one side now due to tearing at birth with my last child.

I still have my moments now about the size but I'm more accepting of what I have.

And actually quite thankful.

Have a look at artist Jamie McCartney's Great Wall of Vagina. It is all about combating Vagina shaming and shows just how many different shapes/sizes/looks there are & all are perfectly normal.

Only you can decide what is right for you, but surgery is a big step.
