Hi not to discriminate by just asking for a policeman can someone who works for the police male or female who would know the law on data protection please send me a pm!

You've probably already considered this. The Information Commissioners Office is the public body that has responsibility for data protection etc. Their website has advice and also contact details, as well as allows you to report allegations online.

Data protection is generally a civil matter not for the police, unless criminal action has taken place.

Was looking more for information about the law and disclosure. If a case doesnt go to court but is delt with just a slap on the wrists complaint can details of the suspect be given to the person taking up the complaint.
