Setting up a social

I’m thinking about setting up a monthly local swingers social in my local area, in the near future.

Does anyone have any experience of setting one up?

What has and hasn’t worked for you? And what are some of the pitfalls to watch out for?

Feel free to DM if you have any specific advice.

Thanks

I think you'll probably find there's already one (or several) Check out the swingers meets/parties forum

There isn’t one. I definitely wouldn’t organise one if one already existed

Have you tried putting "social" in the profile name search? Why not message a few organizers.

Venue venue venue!

A nice busy (but not too busy) pub is ideal in our opinion. Enough noise to cover any cheeky chatter, but not so much that you’re about your sexual proclivities at the top of your lungs.

We meet single guys as do a lot of couples, so don’t exclude them (hardly likely, with OP being a single guy!). But only allow photo verified folks at a minimum.

Try and keep a balance between guys, ladies and couples.

Keep people up to date with attendance numbers too.

And don’t do it on a Wednesday (purely personal!)

We’ve recently started some, had our first last weekend and went really well

We went for a private hire venue, rather than just in a pub with others (which was how it was done here in the past ) which people liked.

Decide on your audience and go with it, we got some stick for being a bit selective but that’s what we wanted to do so we stick with it. You’re not going to please everyone.

We’ve been to a few who all do it a bit different and they’ve all been good in their own way so I don’t think there is a one size fits all idea.

Expect plenty of stress for minimal personal gain too!

Good luck with it!
