mini power cuts

This is starting to drive me mad now..

I have spent all morning fixing my pc... and now I finally have that fixed.. keep losing net due to mini power cuts.. had 5 in the last 45 mins...

Anyone else in the derbyshire area having them...

I used to get them all the time when I lived in Heanor about six years ago. Things clearly haven't improved.

Cant remember the last time we had a power cut! Maybe thats due to the power station 2 miles down the road!

Have you thought about putting a ups on it, I did it a few years back and sorted it sharpest. Maplins do quite a few that are decent value

The heavy rain has affected some transformers in some areas so if you have sensitive info on your computer back it up just in case.

pc is on a surge breaker.. and it is only photos of which I have a backup

Its more annoying that I lose net speed.. as takes my net days to build up to full speed. lol Only get 5mb down anyway.. and less than 2mb up and thats at best.. lol

A ups does same as surge breaker plus it supplies power for short periods of time to smooth out the low periods. For the price they are a must have to protect electronics. I have a quite large one that protect complete house but that used to be part of my job, but for most a desk top one is great, hope it sorts itself for you
