"This is a harder question than I'd thought; there are albums I've not heard in years but played over and over for a period of time so they'd still make the list. Favourites of recent years may have been listened to non-stop but are too recently discovered by me to make it. However, if I try not to over think it: Wonderstuff: Never Loved Elvis John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman: Originals Divine Comedy: Short Album About Love Soundgarden: Badmotorfinger GnR: Appetite for Destruction Utah Saints: Utah Saints Depeche Mode: Violator Green Day: Cookie Blur: Parklife The Clarks: Another Happy Ending" I this list and had totally forgotten about Utah Saints! " The Liberty Of Norton Folgate (deluxe 22 track version) is my absolute favourite album of all time - One Step Beyond is an awesome debut but not quite as well rounded Ashamed to say I've never heard it " It's worth a listen for the 9 minute 42 second wonder that is the title track alone that takes you on a journey round London's east end. Oh couple of other mentions: Glory Boys - Secret Affair Definitely Maybe - Oasis Searching For The Young Soul Rebels - Dexys Midnight Runners

"I love a list, esp a music one, this one triggered by Lola's NYC concert thread... Was thinking about my "most played" albums. Not my favourite, no particular genre or definiton. Just the albums I've heard most often in my life: Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon and Garfunkel Magical Mystery Tour - The Beatles Depeche Mode - Violator (or SoFaD can't be sure) Meat is Murder - The Smiths Royksöpp - Melody AM In The Aeroplane Over the Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel Anyone wanna share theirs?" I’d say my favourite Beatles album would be “the best of the Beatles”...

Not sure if you listened to the standard version or the deluxe (which has 22 tracks) but if the standard, see if you can find the deluxe as there are some amazing tracks hidden away on it (One Fine Day and Hunchback Of Torriano to name two)

Well certainly not on here anyway. But not seen them live since Norton Folgate. I'll listen to the extended version tomorrow x

Veteran of 60+ of their gigs here....like it doesn't show Norton Folgate was, for me, their pinnacle, the next album (Oui Oui Si Si Ja Ja Da Da) is good, but not as good, and the last one (Can't Touch Us Now) I've played no more than a handful of times

The who Thunderstruck AC/DC Most of guns and Roses But I’ll single out Pretty tied up , civil war , welcome to the jungle November rain and sweet child Bat out of hell album Muse Blink 182 The clash " I never knew there was a "best of" stone roses. "I listen to music so often and have listened to so many different albums it's hard to think of which ones I've listened to the most. I'll think of a few anyway. Any album by Kate Bush as she's my musical heroine. I've probably played Hounds Of Love and The Dreaming. David Bowie is my musical hero. I've probably listened to Scary Monsters as a whole the most. MARINA Froot. There's an Abba one in the list as I listened to my mum's records when I was a child and I still listen to them now. Probably Voulez Vouz Nerina Pallot Fires Siobhan Donaghy - Ghosts " I'm realising I should definitely have added Japan's last three albums onto the list! Mick Kern and David Symbian have always fascinated me. I wish there were men out there today that looked like them circa the 70's and 80's!

They lived in the town I grew up in and went to my school. I was too young to have known them. I met Richard Barbieri however, his mum and dad were customers, they had his gold discs up the wall of their stairwell.
