If you mean are their any MPs who are liked enough that the public feel they are happy to represent them in Parliament, its every single on of them, in that they have won an election - and been voted in! Who has voted you in to be able to post pointless question like this? 60+ million people in the united kingdem have said yes, they do like them, in that each MP has got a majority in their own consituency. But I guess you didn't mean that, I guess you just wanted to do some MP bashing, if you think you can do better you should stand yourself and let the public judge you as they have, and see if you get elected.

Its like asking "Do you think Wayne Rooney would get pass an exam in English Literature" It doesn't matter, people watch Wayne rooney to see him play football, and people vote for MPs to represent them in parliament.

What a silly topic? Is anyone else bored of this forum being filled up with stuff like this??

Surely you have got better things to do than post questions that mean nothing

Only 27 million people voted in the last election actually. This might suggest that a lot of people have had enough of politicians. All of them. The incumbent Prime Minister didn't actually 'win' the last election. You might think its a pointless question but then you answered it with spurious statistics.

No, if people arent happy with what we have got they should vote, if they don't vote in my opinion they are saying they are happy to go along with whatever. I am not a Tory or a Lib Dem, but yes the public voted them in - it's up to people in the next election to vote them out if they don't like it, as I will be voting against them.

Not voting, and assuming some kind of higher moral position achieves nothing, and if you don't vote you should not be allowed to moan about anything a government does in that parliament in my opinion.

I voted in the last election. My MP has a majority of 654 after gaining just 43% of the vote. So he hardly represents the majority of the people in Gravesham. I've checked his voting record (which is poor..60.2% which is well below average for an MP) and his votes don't represent my views in any way whatsoever. And i have no choice but "to go along with whatever"

It makes a refreshing change to hear a politician who’ll give their answer without waffling off on tangents which don't deliver definitive responses to the original question asked ! ……

The fact that you think being editor of the Spectator or Asst Editor on the Torygraph is evidence of his inteliigence says more about you than it does about me.

Even the fact that he has had an expensive education is only proof of how much the school you went to matters in getting into Oxbridge.

But hey, if you want to engage in some personal attacks (nice line about the mirror - who did you pinch it from) on me because I think your idol is a racist and a lamentable excuse for a politicians who is as corrupt as he is cavalier, hey ho, it all adds to the overall impression that political debate on here is a pretty shallow exercise.

That's exactly what he is and how he managed to become Mayor. Younger voters decided to vote for him because they had seen him on tv. I won't go further on why I use BoJo - the celebrity tag is more than reason enough. And, I agree a couple of hours is more than enough but sometimes you don't get the choice.

I think the OP was after a more light hearted Thread but once again we see how any inference of politics tends to bring out the worst, rather than the best, in some people. Some brilliant replies as well mind.

I'd happily discuss the UK macro economic position with Nadine Dorries any night.

Or to further cross party politics this proud Tory would like to know who the lady with the big boobs is that sits behind Ed 'Wallis & Grommet' Milliband.....

"Spend a day with BoJo and you might have a different opinion. Disarmingly charming with much going on his his head, I grant you but... Just for accuracy though, he is not an MP.A day? I usually find a couple of hours is enough....

Oh, and BoJo? FFS, what do you think he is? A celebrity?

That's exactly what he is and how he managed to become Mayor. Younger voters decided to vote for him because they had seen him on tv. I won't go further on why I use BoJo - the celebrity tag is more than reason enough. And, I agree a couple of hours is more than enough but sometimes you don't get the choice."

Unfortunately, neither do I.

I think you will find he is an educated man who has been the assistant editor of the Telegraph, the editor of the spectator and the Mayor of London since 2008. "

Funny how this thread just popped back up, I posted a link to a Spitting Image song earlier and been watching it on Youtube ever since and I realised I could name the majority of the cabinet in the 80's due to them all being on Spitting Image (and I couldn't even vote till 1985.....) nowadays, I can just about name the PM, that Clegglet twonk and Ozzy the Chancellor....owt else has completely passed me by

I used to have a soft spot for Alice Mahon (sp?), Labour MP for Halifax under the Nu Labour regime. A bit of an old dear backbencher that used to prattle on (when given limited opportunity) in the house as though it mattered. Bless.

One interesting MP is a Tory MP for Devizes, a Mrs/Ms Perry who appears to be quite fanciable/fuckable. Whether or not she does you will have to decide for yourselves.

On the one hand, she is campaigning for all "adult" material to be blocked at ISP level.

On the other hand, in her rage at not being selected by the Speaker to have her turn at speaking, she stormed into the house cafe shouting "What do i have to do to get the speaker to select me to speak, give him a blow job?"

Would the BBC televise that?
