What stops you doing whatever you want? The law? Fear of retribution? Your moral compass? Or something else?

A combination of all of those depending on context.

I'd say my own moral compass mostly cos If I could get away with stealing i'd do it all the time. ( money from banks not collection cups from the homeless!) But the money wouldn't compensate for the threat of doing time. So is it the law that stops me or FEAR of being caught. The latter i'd say.

My own moral compass and fear.

Can I make that clear.

The laws are not mine it's fear of being caught and punished....... is that retribution ...... hmmmmmmm

So ...... My own moral compass plus fear of retribution ......

I'm swift beginning to believe they are one and the same thing.

"Money .... as my aspirations are not sexual as such

Does that not sepend on where you want to go on holiday?

Fair few years back when I had my EBTs went on holiday to fishguard (dog friendly camp) stayed for 10 days and cost £80. Cost more in fuel than the actual holiday.

As I have got old I put some thought into what I do, but then the good idea turns up, and well........

If everybody do whatever they want, without any limit, it's going to be havoc.

I don't think total anarchy can even exist.

When there is more than 1 person, it will be a group.

Any group will have a leader and the leader will put down some rules...so it's not total anarchy anymore.

"What stops you doing whatever you want? The law? Fear of retribution? Your moral compass? Or something else?"

A combination of my moral compass, the law and money.

I would love to travel more and do 100mph on the motorway, for example.

However, I can't afford to travel as much as I would like and would never knowingly break the law.

Lack of time to myself mostly. I’m a mother with young kids and have a mother with health/mobility issues so i’m always busy doing things for others.

But to be honest the only thing i’d like to do is travel more. Ideally buy a camper van and travel the UK and France, maybe Spain. I’d love to do that with my kids as they’d love the adventure of it all but the timing isn’t the best right now.
