"Waiting for commodore 64 tapes to download and getting a little glass bottle of milk at primary school." I was Milk Monitor at one Primary School I attended. Crates of milk were left at the school gates. In winter, the cream top would be freezing cold and had pushed the foil cap off the top of the bottle by an inch or two. In summer, there was a battle to get the crates into the school before the local birds pecked off the foil caps to reach the nutritional cream first!

"Shops shut on Sundays Marathon bars bring back both Marathon still exist, just under the Snickers brand name, that being the owning company's Global name, who brought all individual named but identical products together under one name." mars brought back the marathon bar brand for 3 months only as a way to celebrate 85 years,of making chocolate. It was, done for nostalgic reasons only. They then reverted back to snickers. Much like todays bags of m&ms which are coloured versions of the old bags of treets you once got and in my opinion they tasted better than todays sweets and they were much bigger. Far too much fiddling on with the recipes and spoiling the taste. Yes Cadburys you are at fault as well changing the recipe for the creme egg. What have you done to it

I think the main issue with all the changes to what we knew as UK choc bars and their own taste styles, was most of the UK Brands as we knew them, were bought out by US or other foreign companies. In turn, these new owners have turned the manufacturing processes away from what we knew and liked of the UK version, to the new company's existing style and taste. USA made items have differing ratios of ingredients to what we Brits have been used to.
