I have an unusual fear of public attention. I can not attend an event where the attention is to be on me.

I have a twin sister and all our major birthdays have been celebrated by her with me attending as a guest. A surprise leaving do was thrown for me at my previous place of work and once I learnt about it I didn't attend.
