Hey, I don’t use fake tan at all. In my profile picture it’s my skirt and my shoes that I’ve made brighter. My skin colour is from Italian (paternal side) and Spanish (maternal side) blood from my grandparents.

Good observation skills. Yeah the most up to date pic was taken last Saturday. I’ve had two new tattoos in the last 6 weeks. The most recent one is the one under my boobs.

I think if you werent asking people who know you've been around for years a lot more people would be saying it looks fake. It's not over the top fake but I wouldn't think it was real although I'd probably take a punt that it possibly was

Okay, so what would make it look less fake? Obviously the majority of you lot know I’ve been around for years but I get quite a lot of people saying fake profile and then blocking me, especially when I first message guys, which is disheartening cos then I can’t get a chance to meet them.

I think you might be able to do it with some different types of photos.

Some everyday life ones might not get to Page 1 of Fab Pics but could make you feel less ‘too good to be true.’

I think you pushing a shopping trolley would be the kind of thing I mean. Use more of your humour to convey who you are.

Most likely because you’re messaging first they can’t believe it and therefore think your fake.

Also I think people associate “real” with several veris and a ton of public pics but thats a personal choice!

Personally I don’t think your profile looks fake at all

I have to take more pictures then. All of mine (bar my avatar) are out of date now as my newest tattoo was only a couple of weeks ago.

Still think people should apply logic though, I’m photo verified, meet in person verified, I have age filters whereas I think a fake profile wouldn’t limit their audience and would speak to anyone.

After reading the thread it's become apparent to me that I'm clueless when it comes to telling the difference between real and fake. If you were to message me, something I'm most certainly not expecting, I would treat you as any other, chat and see what transpires. Tbh I don't understand people whom refuse to engage someone purely because they don't have veris, shows a distinct lack of open mindedness which doesn't seem like fun. For what it's worth, no I don't think it looks fake. Only my opinion

Depends on your experiences. I’ve had two of the most scariest moments of my life on fabs sister sites, as I met people who were not genuine and ended up in pitch black settings on both occasions having to find my way out. For me I like to chat and if I feel its needed maybe have a video call or social and chat a little.

Sometimes you can chat to people and then find out they’re totally not genuine. So people make assumptions to save time.

I guess it’s just the way fab is. I’m sure many genuine people get overlooked because of the quality of their profile.

People on both sides miss out, it's a shame many people don't offer the common decency they so often ask for themselves. As for coming a cropper with the fakes it's always best to do public socials first.

I don't think it looks fake. And I like to think I'm pretty good at spotting a fake profile! If you're worried and you've met quite a few people from here maybe ask them to drop you a quick veri? I think they play a big part in helping people to believe you're genuine.
