Always? Want to tell the significant majority of Human history that?

There is a new series on Netflix called Sex Explained and whilst it's not "new" information, I saw the episode on attraction the other day. Given we've been constantly seeing lots of hot women with husbands that make us feel queasy, it stuck with me when they said how men select mates based on looks, but women select more on how well they will be looked after, income, strength and all that.

So that works just fine (of a sort) in real life, but when the motivations for women no longer apply here, you're left with a huge imbalance in appeal. And also therefore a huge power imbalance.

And you've got to look at whether it's the tail wagging the dog as to WHY most men are ugly. Or at least "not our type" when male looks aren't prized anywhere near as much, so therefore we don't find it attractive. Could well be that society values a monobrow as the pinacle of sexual attraction, but we don't.

One thing I've often wondered, based on women being aware of getting so many awful or disrespectful messages on a daily basis, is how they manage to see those messages, but not the respectful, well considered ones from guys who take the time and effort? - it's so easy to be too serious on here sometimes - and I'm guilty of it on occasion. I'm aware that being relatively short and bald means I won't be for a lot of women and possibly 'ugly' in some eyes, but what you've said finally made sense of it. I agree with what you said here and support you as well in most areas, this is something on the male side of things where us guys read allot of messages about women complaining of receiving negative or rude messages, indicating that they get too many messages in the day and cannot reply to them all (may be true for some), however, it is best to just simply click reply and say sorry not my type and not leave anyone hanging, as i gather this frustrates women extensively and it's only in return to us guys taking the time to construct and send a meaningful message which could bring about a wonderful connection, but, as you've indicated that you look at the profile without reading the message. Respectfully you could simply reply with a template response of "thank you for taking the time to contact me, however, i don't think you are a match for me" (or something of that nature). Also if someone does have conditions of wanting a face picture straight away and you don't wish to do so then as you've agreed above you should just move on and therefore you do get nothing and so do they. It works both ways. That's how incompatibility works.

I think I was crystal clear when I suggested

Thus imho sending a face pic before one is confident it is the lady you hope it describes

If your profile IS as you say crystal clear you are a lady then one WOULD be confident and withholding the pic would not be necessary

I clearly said IF one cannot validate the profile then one would be both idiotic and desperate

You know women look for women on here too right?

Because it means a lot of us are perfectly aware of what it's like to interact with other women on here and what their profiles alike.

As the majority have said, if someone requests you do something you don't wish to do just move on. Nobody is forcing you to send face pictures to anyone.

The response above clearly suggested they should send face first message or expect nothing

That's pretty strong incentive to say comply or get nothing

No it's asking someone if they would expect someone to meet them without knowing what they look lile. There is no reference to how soon a face picture 'should' be exchanged.

There was most certainly explicit reference to FIRST message by the OP and that explicit reference was quoted and commented on
