What area for a night out in London?

Scotland somewhere

We are getting 2 nights kid free in London. what's the best area to book a hotel. Looking for good bars etc.

NW London

Depends what sort of music, people and atmosphere you like. Each area of London attracts a different sort of crowd.

A night out in Chelsea is very different to a night out in Dalston for example.

Depends on what you’re looking for

Personally, I’d go off the beaten track a little. Shoreditch is a good shout

Mayfair... easy to get everywhere...and a lot quieter...if at week end...try foxy club...it's a private members but got rooms...near green park...all the shopping etc...

Id avoid typical tourist areas like leicster square, covent garden... far too busy and too many 'tourists' but ultimately Depends on company and taste.... but would also say soho/shoreditch.

Soho- I love fun nights in sohos 'gay' clubs brilliant fun vibe lots of 80s synth & jazz.. so much to do and great group of people out always. On the go food

Shorditch- hipsters, hip, cool relaxed vibe, slightly on the pricey side for food when your talking from a quality point of view... many places have live music acts on.

Marylebone -If you want a upmarket classy vibe hit it up, i enjoy hitting up 'wine workshop'. great winebars & relaxed downtempo vibe around here

Ive also had some great nights out in brixton, prices are cheaper than in the city and theres loads of fresh cool bars.

NW London

Upper Street and Camden are ok for barhopping.

Dalston is very cool and trendy, as is Hackney.

The City is a lively place to go on a Friday night when the bankers and office workers hit the town before catching the last trains home.

Covent garden or head for the Shard, lots of little bar's there full of trainee nurse's from Guy's hospital

Old stomping ground for me, you'll have fun near and around The Cheese Market

I'd go with that. You have all the nightclubs and theatres there, plus the National Gallery. You are also walking distance from Covent Garden. Luke
