Petrichor (/'p?tr?k??r/) is the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil. The word is constructed from Greek petra (p?t?a), meaning "stone", and ichor (????), the fluid that flows in the veins of the gods in Greek mythology.

"A new book or magazine.. I have to sniff them before I read them!

Oohh definitely books, new or old 3

I like writhing in the front of new books and leaving them for others to read. "

I always do that with gifts... Everyone gets a book... But a charity shop I volunteered in told me they bin them if they have anything written in them, these days

There was a chewing gum in the early 80's that had the same taste.
