I love all the seasons and look forward to them Winter is crap when it's just cold and wet, amazing if there's proper winter conditions for ice climbing and winter mountaineering, I adore the colours and lighting of autumn and who doesn't like long warm lazy summer days. However the only season I get impatient for and can't wait to arrive is spring, longer days, new life everywhere and an end to drab dreary colours.

I'm finding that the seasons are getting less separated, we've not had a proper winter for years...if I had to choose one it would be summer, I love the sun on my skin.

Mid to late spring is my favourite - when the cherry blossom trees flower and the woods in the park are full of bluebells.

All to brief but absolutely beautiful - and I can’t walk or drive past either without smiling.

Rather like Spring and the world coming back to life after lying dormant through the winter.

But Summer I think, warmth and life in all its abundance. People generally seem more happy in Summer.

There and to the left a bit

They all have an appeal for different reasons but on balance Autumn probably steals it - the changing colours in trees, the fact that it's normally still relatively warm but not too hot or cold, cosy evenings in etc etc
