London St Helier Trier

There is so much I don't rem_mber that those at school know today. I fall back on experience in the workplace.

That my ass was a bad thing.

Told to me by a boy when I was 10.

Unlearned because of a man when I was aged 41.

It took me best part of 40 odd years to unlearn that my feelings and urges were shameful, and that I was 'wrong'. I am not sure I am fully there yet, but the acceptance I have found on fab and especially in the forums has helped hugely.

To always put others first.

You can’t help anyone unless you are mentally healthy yourself.

Ironically my friends and family have benefited from me becoming a bit more selfish.

I’m still trying to learn that I need to not trust so much.

Not to believe everything someone says to me.

12 years later, I've finally learnt.

I'm still trying to unlearn the lessons that asking people about themselves is being nosey, and that joining in a conversation that's already started is rude.

I’ve learnt you need to love yourself.

That we are all perfect, and that’s it’s ok to be yourself, shadows and all.

I’ve learnt that if people can’t accept you for who you are then they need to be gone, we’re all beautiful as we are and we shouldn’t ever change for anyone
