Children of men - which is one the most highly underrated films - and truly one of the most amazing fucking visually stunning movies ever - had the longest cut scene in movies where they filmed for a continuous 20 seconds without stopping tracking on a single shot. Hard to do in any movie. And they did it in a moving car.

I bet that this movie has more of these non stop shots in it because of the way it is filmed. It is phenomenal art that they did just to make this movie.

Take a look at the opening of Touch of Evil from 1958.Glorious uncut tracking shot, depending upon if you can get hold of the particular version. Swoon..

I saw it at the cinema with a big fan of his and she was disappointed as well. It felt like a buddy movie comedy with the Manson Family thrown in for no reason - using Sharon Tate's death for so little reason was in quite bad taste, I thought, as well as bulking the film out unnecessarily.

Exactly. Felt like it was made as a piss take, so he and his fellow movie directors/producers can sit and have a laugh.

I'll await to see his 10th installment....
