Shows she takes her sexual health seriously. Barebacking or not, how many people suck cock with a condom on? There is a risk of catching something that way and some diseases only require skin to skin contact so can still be passed when using condoms.

You know if she had an infection but didn't get tested she would still have the infection and anyone who barebacked with her would be at risk of having caught it. Getting tested doesn't make her more of a risk, in fact if she does it regularly she would be less of a risk due to being more aware of her sexual health status and if she caught something she would get treated sooner and have less chance of infecting others.

The way I read it is that the OP saw a womans status that she was going for tests. Then he felt sorry for all the 'poor guys' she had sex with BB. As far as I'm aware, sex is a 2 (or 3 or more) way thing. I'm happy to be corrected if I've read it wrong but he never said if there was anything that said she had BB sex or that the tests she was having were sexually related. He just asked a question, or jumped to a conclusion. Again, I'm happy to eat my words if I've read it wrong x

People are nuts. I've only slept with the one person for ages but I still have my regular swab test as I would rather work on precaution and I very much say you can only trust yourself when it comes to sexual health

A couple of years ago I made an appointment for testing. I texted all the boys and girls I was active with and told them I was gonna go. It was like a bloody social experiment. Some folk thanked me for ‘looking after them’ others said they didn’t wanna see me again. I was as clean as a whistle but it sorted the men from the boys and those that were judgemental (& obviously had never been or had an intention to go) just got deleted. The trash took itself out it seems

Exactly.... He said that she was getting health test results, they could be for any health issues, he then went on about bb etc but it's very unclear whether the woman mentioned the tests were anything to do with sex at all or whether he jumped to that conclusion himself.

When I've been tested, which I do regularly because I care about my health, I've always had results over the phone rather than having to go & get them in person which makes me think that the tests are possibly for something completely different.

"The way I read it is that the OP saw a womans status that she was going for tests. Then he felt sorry for all the 'poor guys' she had sex with BB. As far as I'm aware, sex is a 2 (or 3 or more) way thing. I'm happy to be corrected if I've read it wrong but he never said if there was anything that said she had BB sex or that the tests she was having were sexually related. He just asked a question, or jumped to a conclusion. Again, I'm happy to eat my words if I've read it wrong x

Exactly.... He said that she was getting health test results, they could be for any health issues, he then went on about bb etc but it's very unclear whether the woman mentioned the tests were anything to do with sex at all or whether he jumped to that conclusion himself.

When I've been tested, which I do regularly because I care about my health, I've always had results over the phone rather than having to go & get them in person which makes me think that the tests are possibly for something completely different. "

Really some on this thread are really uneducated, yes we are a couple and yes we have unprotected sex with each other but with others we use protection. That said we get tested regularly and aren’t afraid to admit that.

Without knowing the particular status and on the information that the OP has given I agree that it is presumptuous to assume that the writer was speaking about sexual health test results. As it has been stated these are usually sent to you via text within two weeks of the appointment date so is unlikely to be so.

Even so, the stigma of regular testing needs to be taken out of our culture. We have sex with multiple partners. Whether we use protection or not it is always best practice to have regular tests taken. Not all STDs are stopped using a condom, and condoms do fail.

An added bonus, free condoms with every visit in all shapes and sizes

I don't post a status when I'm going I have no problems if asked telling folk I go regularly.

For guys(not sure what happens to ladies) at the clinic I visit it's a urine sample a few questions with the option of a blood test, if you have symptoms of an sti they'll do a urethral swab as well.

No embarrassment (free condoms as well) and unless you're afraid od a needle no worries, a couple of weeks later a text giving you the good or not so good news.
